Thank you, Sophia. Nice reading, however your background noise is quite high. If you use Audacity, I recommend you get a noise sample of about 4 seconds from the end of your file, go Effect/Noise Reduction/Noise Profile. Then select the entire file, go Effect/Noise Reduction/ and using settings such as 12/6/3/Reduce, hit OK. This should bring your background noise down considerably with only minimal reduction of your Volume (which is also high at 91.8, just barely below our maximum of 92, and could safely be lowered -2). Upload your adjusted file using the same name and repost here. If you don't use Audacity, I don't know how to advise you, and if you can't make these corrections, I can still mark your file PL OK.sophiatbow wrote: ↑June 11th, 2021, 6:33 pm Nice poem! Here is the fixed versionmsfry wrote: ↑June 5th, 2021, 4:34 pmHello Rohan. Thanks for reciting this poem. I found a few errors at the times noted below, and also, numerous times where you leave no space between stanzas. I recommend you copy about 3/4 second of silence from the outro, listen again, zoom in and paste it in between the various stanzas when you hear them run together. The crimson trail of death!
add some silence
And what are man-made kings and courts,
Be sure to make these edits BEFORE you add any silences above (so you can find them before changing the times).
:23 Where live-oaks meet, live rhymes with hive
1:55 Gay, tender, careless, you say "tenderness", if you zoom in you can delete the "ness" without having to re-record.
2:54 They gaze abroad, they bare their brows, you say their bare brows
Make your edits, re-upload using the same name, post here with new file length, and I'll have another listen.

Thanks, Rohan. Your 3 edits were perfect, so this rendition climbs the heights to PL OK.

Is this ready to catalog? The one PL note has something to the effect of "if you can't do this, we can catalog it as is".
School fiction: David Blaize
America Exploration: The First Four Voyages of Amerigo Vespucci
Serial novel: The Wandering Jew
Medieval England meets Civil War Americans: Centuries Apart

I need to turn in my poem this morning. Detained due to family in town for my brother's memorial service. Then yes, I think someone will need to catalog this because David is out of town.

I've marked it as "closed" aside from your version and will post a new one.
