Outstanding job! The only correction you have to make is that the 'silent' time at the beginning of the recording needs to be .5-1 second. Yours is about 2 seconds. Just that one correction, and all will be well.

One small note. Your volume is 86.6, which is within the 86-92 Librivox range, with a goal of 89. If you haven't come across it yet, a great program to help us is the Checker program (https://cgjennings.ca/projects/checker/). It can tell you your volume, background noise and other information.

I am looking forward to listening to more of your work. :D

Thank you for the feedback. :D

I have corrected the file and resubmitted. https://librivox.org/uploads/kazbek/mozartsyouth_08_hoffmann_128kb.mp3

Joanna,

I don't know how I missed these two, but I finally got them.

Chapter 4: Beautiful corrections. Seamless! Chapter 4 is PLOK

Chapter 5 has a very few little things to fix:

2:57.5 and was about to take to his heels as usual. You left out “to” between take and his

~5:48.5 Again, here, like in the last chapter, there is a pause between given and him (like you expected 'to' to be there). If you could close them up, like you did the last one, it would flow a little better, I think.

11:06 Let us get to work You contracted it to Let's. I think the more formal phraseology would go better with the context.

15:53 and beaming eyes. You added “the” between and and beaming.

Ending. You slightly miss counted. The ending silence is six, instead of five seconds. Easy fix!

I am really enjoying these. Keep up the good work.

What did you decide to do with this one?
If it is a new recording then it needs a full PL instead of just a Spot PL.

For now, I've marked both 2 and 5 Ready for Spot PL.
On the road again, so delays are possible

It was just spot editing. I was able to adjust EQ via Pro Tools to reduce background noise. I put it through the Checker and it passed. Also I was able to increase the DB in general. It looks about the same height as the other chapters I recorded so hopefully we're all in the clear!

Chapter 7 (16:09)

https://librivox.org/uploads/kazbek/mozartsyouth_07_hoffman_128kb.mp3

Thank you for indulging my request to record most of the book! My childhood revolved around reading many picture books about the childhood of these maestros, that I still own to this day. It was a treat reading the unabridged and translated versions so thank you again for creating this project.

Oh, our pleasure to have you!
If we had caught this a little earlier, we could have set it up as a true solo project. But, it will be fine as it is.
Wayne we be along after his trip and give you a report on any final changes that you may need.

Thanks so much. :D

Joanna,

Quite the story of an amazing man. Thank you for sharing you talents to allow many others to learn more about Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

I have finally caught up. Here are my comments:

Chapter 2

Your corrections were great, the only thing you missed was the .5-1 second silence at the beginning of the reading.

Chapter 5 PLOK

Chapter 6

5:58 Perhaps we may learn in the morning who this extraordinary artist is, and the occasion of his performance.” You said and occasions

13:45.5 “But when shall I play before the Queen?” said Wolfgang, impatiently. Impatiently is kind of muddled. Can't clearly hear the “im” at the first.

16:42 Wolfgang continued his conversation with the Queen, I heard conversations

18:58 We will go if you are resolved not to play any more, You said if you are not resolved

19:24 as could be seen by his flashing eyes. You added the word he between as and could

Chapter 7

:41.5 with renewed zeal You said and

2:10.5 which was recognized throughout the world as the final authority in all musical matters. You said music

Keep up the good work,

Wayne
