I used an alternative text source for this as I found the Rover scan hard to read. I think the wording is the same.

yes sorry, this text was indeed hard to decipher, even with magnification. I managed to check against the original source and it's PL ok.alanmapstone wrote: ↑May 17th, 2021, 9:21 amSection 6

May I have section 7 Marcus Bell, the convict, by Leitch Ritchie?

I love to read, AND my employer matches my volunteer hours with a donation to the Internet Archive, flagged to benefit Librivox.org. How cool is that?

I'll be done by this weekend. I haven't been recording while preparing to move, but relocation has been delayed so many times now due to events out of my control, that I really need the distraction! So not as fast as Jim, but definitely before I return to packing.

I don't think I've ever read a story with so little dialog before!

the plot of this story, at least the part of how the duel came about and ended, reminds me of another story I listened to not long ago in another LV project. A mild form of plagiarism surely Thank you, Jim, all PL ok.neecheelok70 wrote: ↑May 20th, 2021, 7:13 amHere is Section 4--interesting method for obtaining personal honor:

indeed, I didn't even expect the short dialogue in the end it was a lovely narrative though, despite the rather despicable lifestyle of the protagonist. Seems like we can expect a sort of happy-ending for those two after all maybe. PL ok, thank you so much for this section, Kate. Excellent reading, as always.queenk8 wrote: ↑May 22nd, 2021, 6:49 pmSection 7 is ready for PL.
