Hi Victoria! Welcome to Librivox and the Poetry Collection! Congratulation on your first recordings

So I've added you in the Readers Database, and here's your page: https://librivox.org/reader/16230 which you can also access from your name-link in the Magic Window. It lists the projects you've read for and can also help you keep track of your sections in ongoing projects, under the "Reader Section Details" link.

The text used in the Librivox recordings must be in the public domain. This generally means published more than 95 years ago, that is, in 1925 or earlier. You'll notice that both “Still I Rise” and “I, Too” have a copyright declaration below the poem (© 1978 and © 1994 respectively) so we can't include them in the collection. I have listened to “We Wear the Mask” and have marked it PL OK in the Magic Window! A very dynamic delivery! Thank you for offering it! I hope you can choose two more poems for this collection! Please find text sources that state publication year, so that we can ascertain that the text is public domain. You can also use gutenberg.org

Hello Malinda! Welcome to Librivox! I saw your question about how to find projects. It will take some getting used to, but you'll soon be able to navigate the forum successfully! If you feel you need it, here's a video about how to navigate the forums: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PnxpcbnEjoQ
The forum has changed a bit since the video was made, but not enough to render the video obsolete.
And for more tutorial videos, check out this post: viewtopic.php?f=17&t=39890

Thank you for your recording! It has all tech specs correct, and I will add it to the collection. I want to mention that there is some background noise of music. In general, try if possible to record in as quiet an environment as possible. Switch off appliances if it's up to you (like radio), or find a quiet corner, keeping doors and windows closed. Hopefully this will help with future recordings :D
Since it's a short recording, I would suggest you recorded it anew to see if you can get less of the background noise. When you do record anew, please use the exact wording for the ending: "End of poem. This recording is in the public domain" leaving 5 seconds of silence, and use underscores in the filename instead of dashes.

By what name would you like to be credited as a reader in our Catalogue?

My apologies. They were listed under a source I used for poems in the public domain. I am confused but will make sure I choose poems published in 1925 or earlier. I plan to record two more poems to contribute to replace the other two.

Thank you for the link. Feeling accomplished!
