(Complete) G.K. Chesterton in America: A Catholic Review of the Week - m8b1
Maria, here is section 6, "The Thrift of Thought":

A minor detail, the article as printed in America contains the article "The" in its title, "The Thrift of Thought" (if the LibriVox titles are intended to reflect the same).
Likewise for section 10, the original title "Don't!" contains the exclamation mark "!" (and is important insofar as the article defends negative prohibitions, as summarily captured by this imperative).
Otherwise, thank you, the archive.org link you provided me worked; the second of my sections has already been recorded too, I just need to edit & export it soon.

Actually, Maria, I ended up editing the second one right away, section 10, "Don't!":

Thank you for the title corrections ~ those were completely my fault!

Two sections for this project:
https://librivox.org/uploads/m8b1/gkamerica_07_chesterton_128kb.mp3 8:09

The Shylock piece was so interesting. The one Shakespearean character I would most like to play. He has been interpreted in so many ways, and Chesterton gives us a new perspective. I regard him as a tragic figure, even though The Merchant of Venice is usually listed as a comedy. I did get to play Lorenzo who steals away Shylock's daughter, Jessica.

Hi! I just noticed (it's been a long month) that I've been reassigned to a different section, but I can't seem to access the material. I clicked on the link for section 8, and nothing seems to be happening. I am new around here, so perhaps I'm doing something wrong! Could anybody guide me to find the right material? I don't want to waste anyone's time by recording the wrong passage. Thanks!

Oh dear! I am so sorry! It looks like I mistakenly assigned you 8 originally instead of 3, and 3 has since been recorded. Completely my fault ~ my apologies.skyewardeye wrote: ↑May 25th, 2021, 6:24 am Hi! Let me know if you still can't see it, and I can do a work around for you.
If you decide you don't want to read that section, no worries, just let me know!
