Beautiful! Good advice, too Thank you, Devorah! PL OK
Dear Rapunzelina,
You will notice that my third recording isn't as clear as the previous two. I have recently bought a recording box which will make my recordings sound much clearer. But right now I'm on an internship abroad, and the box was too big to take with me. I will use it whenever possible, but I don't know how soon that will be.

Hi! Thank you! I am using Audacity and have made the edits you suggested. I re-uploaded the link and edited my original post with the new link. Please let me know if it's better. Esther68Rapunzelina wrote: ↑April 25th, 2021, 10:40 amYes, all good now! Thank you, Nick!
Hi Esther! Welcome to Librivox and to the Poetry Collection! Congrats on your first recording and thank you for your contribution!
Just one thing that needs fixing, and that is the volume, which is currently too low. I use the Checker to measure volume. It's currently around 71dB, while target volume is 89dB, with an acceptable range of 86-92. If you're using Audacity, I would suggest a 15dB Amplification (menu Effects - Amplify), and then some Noise Reduction, as the amplification would have also brought up the background noise. Here's some instructions: https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Noisecleaning_With_Pics and please ask if something is unclear.
Hello Jade! Welcome to Librivox and to the Poetry Collection! Congrats on your first recording and thank you for your contribution!
Checking the tech specs, bit rate is currently wrong, so if you're using Audacity, open the file in Audacity, and go to Export as mp3. At the options there, make sure "Constant" is checked for Bit Rate Mode, and then "128 kbps" for Quality. Click OK to save the file and Audacity should also save these settings for your future exports.

Thank you, Craig! A sad poem.. PL OK!
No issues! All great! Thank you, Cammie!
All good now! Thank you! Volume is generally tricky. If you keep getting low volume, try increasing your microphone's input volume. You can then measure volume with the Checker to see if it needs any more adjustments before uploading.
I am obsessed with sonnets lately! Here are three by Eleanor Farjeon (1881-1965), all from this book: http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/56244
They were untitled and just numbered, so I used the first lines.

Congratulations on your first Librivox recording, Ross! All good technically, just a heads up on the volume which is on the low side of desired range; just take care not to go any lower.Rahowardbooks wrote: ↑April 29th, 2021, 2:48 pm Hi all! First submission so notes are welcome!

How would you like to be credited as a Reader in the catalogue (forum name or something else)? And we can also link to a personal webpage if you'd like.

Nicely read poems, however the bit rate is wrong. As it's the turn of the month and this project will get to the catalogue, I thought I'd save us some time and did the fix. Here's what to do for your future recordings - if you use Audacity. When you are ready to export to mp3, check the options in the Export Window and choose "Constant" for Bit Rate Mode, then "128 kbps" for Quality. Click OK to export, and Audacity should save these settings for future exports. I also did some noise-removal while I was in there anyway

"Spring" by Gerard Manley Hopkins had already been included in this month's collection - popular choice! - so I will move it to the next collection. I hope that's OK with you. All perfect with the other two recordings!
