Hello to all! This is my first Librivox submission, and I saw we can complete our required 1-minute test by reading the weekly poem. Here is the link to my upload:

https://librivox.org/uploads/aradlaw/library_botta_jwb_128kb.mp3 (1:28)

Thank you for your patience as I continue learning the ropes of Audacity, Librivox recording, and this forum. Please do let me know how to improve (if you would be so kind), and take the very best of care!

With light,

Jarrod Wetzel-Brown

Welcome to Librivox Jerod :D , good first reading, the volume is a bit low at 85.3 dB. You should aim for your waveforms to peak near the 0.5 mark, like this:

Image

You can check your volume using our Checker program - see info at http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Checker You will find the volume in decibels on the Information tab. For your information, we look for around 89 dB (87-91 is OK) (all the other tech specs are there also)
- don't forget the 1/2 to 1 second of opening silence.

*Please let me know under what name would you like to appear in the LV catalog and if you have one, we can put your personal URL link on your catalog page too.
