Hi James,
Your story could use some noise cleaning. Please update it when you have a chance. PL OK otherwise.
Thanks!

I would like to do section 14 and 15

What are my next steps?

Thanks,
Thomas
Hi Thomas,
Please read the opening post. It will show you places that you can find a story. Once you record one, post it here and it will be added as a section in the collection.
Good luck!

It's nice to have your first story in this collection. How would you like your name to appear in the catalog?
Thanks!

I recorded “I, Executioner” by Terry Carr and Ted White. I used “Carr” as the author’s last name in the file name — hope that’s correct!

Than you Jeff,

Technical issues only.
The sampling rate should be 44.1 kHz, it is 48

You can work through this technical issue with the resources at https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=1-Minute_Test If you need to you can submit a one minute test to viewforum.php?f=21 to ensure you have all the settings correct.

Everything else is PL ok.

James
New version uploaded; sampling rate should now be 44.1. URL below:

Thank you for PL-ing, James, and for the kind comment. Do you mean "it is magical how each character has a thousand different voices"? HA HA HA! I'm working on trying to eventually figure out a way where each character has their own consistent voice (or I'll work on finding stories without dialogue!)

Technical issue that needs to be addressed:
Only 3 seconds of trailing silence, it should be about 5 seconds. All else is good :)

Your accent is new to me, and you pronounce some words differently then I would, but they are yours and they are fine.

You only need to fix that one technical issue. Here are a couple of suggests you might want to consider for this or a future recording.

You might try reading a little slower, you seemed rushed.

There are a few places, where you stumbled a little, I did not note them. You might want to listen to your recording and consider editing some of them. There is help here on how to edit https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Editing_Audio

I thought they each had their own voice, with some minor variations maybe. I think you are on a good path towards, getting your voices they way you would like. You have a lot of promise and I look forward to PLing more of your work.
