Thank you TN,

You have a technical issue that needs to be addressed.
Volume is low at 81.7 the target range is 86-92

There are links to help with recording issues in the opening post of this collection

There is some light background noise, that may be intensified as you increase the volume, you will probably want to apply at least one round of noise reduction before resubmitting.

James
Hello James,

Here is an edited version. Please let me know if it is sufficient.

Hi TN,
This story is already in this collection. I will move your story into the next collection 078.
Thanks!

Thank you for your second contribution as well, TN

Much like the first, you have a technical issue that needs to be addressed.
Volume is low at 79.8 the target range is 86-92

And again there is some light background noise, that may be intensified as you increase the volume, you will probably want to apply at least one round of noise reduction before resubmitting. There were a couple of light bumps as well, not bad at this volume level, but you might want to listen through before resubmitting and see if there are noises you need to address.

James
Hello,

Here is a revised version of my recording. Please let me know if it is sufficient.

Wow, just noticed it's much longer than others here @ 33 min. let me know if it's too long and I can/ Should submit it elsewhere? :hmm: .

Hi Arthur,
Its length is fine. They can be as long as 70 minutes. 60 is better.
Thanks for your story!

Hi AnnaR,
This text source is not acceptable for Librivox as in the public domain. There is advice in the opening post on where you can look for stories.
If you submit another, please make sure the title is in lower case letters and use the file-naming convention in the opening post.
In a nutshell, read the opening post.
This collection is full now so your next story should be submitted in SSF078.
Good luck,
-Amy

Several technical issues.
Bit rate is 186 kpps not 128kpps
The recording is in stereo not mono
It has variable bit rate, not a constant bit rate.
I did not listen to the recording, for other issues.

You should work through the one minute test to get your settings correct. You can learn about this in the opening post,

Arthur,

Thank you, I am hoping to PL your recording tomorrow. I downloaded it and checked for technical issues, and that was fine. I just need to listen to it, now.

Thanks Arthur, PL ok.

You have a good reading voice, with a good cadence and voice changes. You obviously put a lot of work into editing and cleaning up, before submitting.

A couple of minor things to consider for your next submission.

* Trailing silence should be about 5 seconds you are closer to 4, fine for this one, just keep in mind for next time.
* When you report the run time, include the entire recording time in minutes and seconds yours is 34:23.

Arthur,

Your welcome, I enjoy most of these old SF stories...

I am not sure what you mean by the time posted after the upload, the actual run time of the recording is 34:23. When I open the link directly and/or download and open with Audacity it show 34:23 as the run time.

I see the 34:23 in Audacity now and will remember to do this. I'm saying previous instructions said that after you use uploader to copy the link and time appears after it. Mine said 33.01 not sure why there is a discrepancy but I will use the Audacity time in the future.
thanks again!
