This was supposed to be an edit to suggested reading list, not a quote of it.

It's nice to have your first story in this collection. How would you like your name to appear in the catalog?
Thanks!
-Amy
I'd like to appear as Gabriela Oprea. Thank you!
Thank you, Gabriela

Technical issue that needs to be addressed:
Only 3 seconds of trailing silence, it should be about 5 seconds. All else is good :)

Your accent is new to me, and you pronounce some words differently then I would, but they are yours and they are fine.

You only need to fix that one technical issue. Here are a couple of suggests you might want to consider for this or a future recording.

You might try reading a little slower, you seemed rushed.

There are a few places, where you stumbled a little, I did not note them. You might want to listen to your recording and consider editing some of them. There is help here on how to edit https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Editing_Audio

James.
Just uploaded a new version with longer silence at the end and edited the mistakes I was able to detect. Thank you for the feedback!

I just noticed that currently, attempting to listen to sections 1 and 2 results in "error 404: url not found" should we re-submit our recordings?

Actually, you may have to. They had 076 in the title instead of 077 and I deleted them when I was cleaning out the old collection from the server. I didn't realize they were in this one.
James, do you have them saved on your computer? Since I haven't been proof listening, I didn't save them all to mine yet.

Amy,

No, sorry.

The only things I still have in my recycle bin are 077

Apologies if I've posted this twice. I recorded One-shot by James Blish last weekend and thought I had already posted this link (but then couldn't find it). It is 28 minutes long. LOL it's not very interesting I have to say.

I welcome any feedback on the recording as I'm very new.

Hi Davo,
I accidentally deleted your story One-Shot from the server. Do you have another copy that you could upload?
Sorry for the inconvenience!

Hello Nick

Technical issues that need to be addressed
Volume low 81.6 Target range 86-92
Stereo, should be mono

I only listed to the first 5 minutes and 15 seconds. There are several places where the volume fades off and some words are hard to hear, sitting in a quiet room.

A couple of examples, there are several in the first few minutes.
* 2:55 to 3:01 volume fades so it is hard to hear the last word "A year after that another jet came low over the town, and it crashed too. Only three bullets this time"

* 5:10 to 5:15 "then he strolled over to kibitz at the checker game"

You can work through the technical issues by working through the a minute test, see https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=1-Minute_Test

You should be able to fix most of the technical issues with out re-recording. After you have applied those changes, you can proof listen your work and see if there are any other low volume areas, stumbles or background noise. You can make spot corrections with the help at https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Editing_Audio. Once you have made these corrections I will proof listen again to your entire recording.

Thank you,
James
