Hello everyone! This is my first recording, so I’d like my name in the LibriVox catalog to be:

Chris Garza

Here is my recording:

Fallen Majesty by William Butler Yeats (1865 - 1939)
Text URL: https://www.theotherpages.org/poems/yeats01.html#h3
Duration: 0:50
MP3 URL: https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/spc214_fallenmajesty_cag_128kb.mp3

Recording this was immensely fun, and I can’t wait to record more works!

Hi again!

There was a mistake with one of the poem's upload URL, so here it is again:

YOU DARKNESS by Rainer Maria Rilke (1875 - 1926)
Text URL: https://www.poemhunter.com/poetry/you-darkness/
Duration: 01:05
MP3 URL: https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/spc214_youdarkness_ts_128kb.mp3

Sorry about that; my mistake in naming the file.

Welcome to the Poetry Collection, Chris! I'm glad you're having fun! All good with your recording, PL OK!

Thank you, Tony! These are beautifully recited! I am having some trouble with the text sources.
Gutenberg.org is of course OK,
poets.org states that this translation is copyrighted 2001
poemhunter.com does not offer any information and I haven't been able to find publication year online for this translation.
So "Lament" is in the Magic Window, marked PL OK, but the other two are not in the public domain (or need information to prove that they are (published 1925 and earlier)

Rapunzelina:

This is really embarrassing, but I misspelled the author's name on ALL of my submission ... it's RAINER Maria Rilke, not RANIER as I put it in.

Can the correction be made on my submissions?

I'm really sorry about this.

I asked my librarian about the noise, and she said, "no one would come here
if they weren't allowed to talk out loud." So I read out loud.

Thank you, Czandra! Maybe you missed my previous reply; I'll quote it here:
Rapunzelina wrote: March 5th, 2021, 11:26 am There's no such thing as too much poetry
However, there is a limit to three contributions per reader per month in this collection. You'll probably find more poetry projects in the Short Works, and also the Weekly and Fortnightly Poetry projects, if you haven't done those yet :D
So, I can keep your recording for next month, or, come next month, you can upload it again for the new collection, with the new filename - it would be spc215.
I am glad you are enjoying poetry! I find it suits your voice!
