Scott,

I read all the instructions for file transfer, and I now see th edeadline, so please ignore the previous post. Do you want me to send a sample? If so, how?

Hi Esther,

I just sent an mp3 file, 800 Leagues.MP3 via Librivox uploader. It did not give me a link...

Ok I don't think it went through. That's why it didn't give you a link. I don't see it on there. Can you upload again but without spaces in the file name. I don't think it likes spaces.

Hi Esther,

I changed the file name and re-sent it, got this message:

You may only upload .mp3, .wav, .txt, .flac and .zip files. The file has been erased.

It is an mp3 file, so I am not sure what went wrong.

That is so strange! What program are you using to convert it to mp3? Do you ftp? I can get you to ftp to a site donated by a volunteer.

In the file name, MP3 was capitalized! When I put it lowercase, it worked.

Yippee!

For pronunciation guidance: I found this web site:
http://www.deltatranslator.com/delta/pronounce.htm

I also found somebody from Rio de Janeiro.
Now, if I could only remember what I learned...

I fully agree that the pronunciation of Brazilian Portuguese is really quite strange to native English speakers. I would never have gotten any sort of a grip on it if it wasn't for the fact that I spent 4 months traveling around Brazil last year!

Jacob, the uploader will spit out a link for you. The next time you read, can you please post that link as well. It saves us having to track it down.

Here it is:

Hey, I just realized that I missed a snipet of editing. How do I go about reposting the file? Do I do it the same way?

If you still have the original project files, go ahead and snip it out then re-upload. The uploader will rewrite the file name of the first one and name the new one with the old name. The link in the magic box will remain the same.
