Birds of Song and Story, by Elizabeth Grinnell (1851 - 1935) and others
This mother and son team, each distinguished in their field, collaborate to give charming portraits of a dozen of our favorite song birds. Their use of poetry and flowing prose makes each of these birds come alive in and endearing and accessible way. (Summary by Larry Wilson)

Yikes!
This took me awhile to do. Guess I blinked and the project template went through some drastic changes.
I'm used to going certain places to make my customizations, etc. But I will get used to it before I die. Certainly a lot cleaner look with some of the underbrush cleared out.

Anyway, this should be a fun little project.

Hi Larry!

The air scrubbers are now out of my house and noise levels adequate for LV recording have again been achieved here so I'm wondering if I might stake a claim on sections 3 and 5? What a fun book! Thanks!

Hi Larry. I'll take section 10 if I may - the bluebird. We've had a couple checking out the birdhouse in the last couple of weeks, but nobody has moved in yet this year.

Glad we're on a quiet hill now -- well, except when my son-in-law is plowing or roaring around on a snowmobile.

Glad to have you.

Ah, nice!
I think we saw a grosbeak recently, but we're sub-freezing temps holding fast for awhile yet.

Thanks for joining in on the fun.

I'd like section 11, The Tanager People, please.

We're having the sandhill cranes by the hundreds flying past our house on their return to the north.

Thanks,
