Great recording - plus I've learned the word 'extravasated' - every day's a school day
Just one PL note
Your recording is a little too quiet at 82.6 db - please could you adjust to fall between the 87-91 db range - if you're using audacity this video has info on how to do this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z_z607awyLw
Shout if you have any questions!
Thank you Dale - a nice grave robbing setting for this one!Grothmann wrote: ↑April 1st, 2021, 2:48 pm Hello:

I'm wondering if your auto processing may have let you down again? A few PL notes
Your recording is a little quiet at 84 db on the checker
You have slightly over 1sec of silence at the start of the track, please could you edit down to 0.5-1s
Finally, there's a bit of an echo through some of the audio - it's particularly noticeable at 2.30 and 11.30, but occurs for quite a while from 2.30 onwards. It's not so bad as to mark this not PL ok if the other bits are done, but I thought I'd flag as your recordings are usually bang on!
Rapunzelina - this one is 13:20 duration rather than 11:20
Thanks all!
Suckin’ at something is the first step to being sorta good at something.

Thank you, Timothy! I have now added your file in the Magic Window, Ready for PL!
Thank you, Dale, for the reload, and the new recording! The new recording is already in the Magic Window for the next open collection here: viewtopic.php?f=28&t=86645 (I will fix the filename later to 051, or you can do that if you get any PL notes and need to re-upload)
Alix, Thank you for PLing! I keep adding you as DPL in the next collections, until you tell me otherwise.

Hi! Welcome to the Ghost and Horror Story Collection! The Pit and the Pendulum would be a great fit for the collection! Don't worry that this collection is now filled, you can read the story for the next one - or the next after that; whenever you're ready with it. We (try to) always have an open collection running Here's the next open one: viewtopic.php?f=28&t=86645Wick45 wrote: ↑April 3rd, 2021, 12:50 am I would like to read The Pit And The Pendulum by Edgar Allan Poe If section 20 is still available

Thanks for the feedback, I hope this sounds better! Let me know if this fixed the decibel issue.

Thank you Dale - this is now PL ok. And noted that you're aiming for perfect. I'll keep this in mind on future PLs of yours.

I believe that the Ghost and Horror Story Collection says it's now been filled, so I'm assuming you don't need any more readers for this. Is that correct?

Indeed, this one is now closed, going through the cataloguing process. The next open Ghost and Horror Story Collection is here viewtopic.php?f=19&t=86645 if there's a public domain story you'd like to contribute.
