You can not go back to the template, but you can edit the first post. The template has served its 2 purposes: 1) create the first post and 2) create initial entries into the database. You can edit the first post and I can edit the database so the template is no longer needed.

thanks for your help. i think i got things cleaned up a bit - and figured out how to edit posts. this is terrifically empowering and makes me feel slightly like Winston Smith. if only i had this ability to work on my email over the last 40 years

thanks for the suggestion, i believe it does help the text. some of the choices made on placement of different components are a bit odd and i'm trying to do my best with them. near the end, i believe in section 13, there is an obvious error in the layout with a similar section and i plan to correct this as the reader. when there is an insert such as this i try to move it to a break between headings in the text. it does help having someone else looking at these and it's not difficult to make a change.
