Very quick fix with the files as is - NO RE-RECORDING. (We never like to have that cuz done then everything has to re-PL'd and more likely than not, new errors will pop in.)

Load file for an act into your version of Audacity (Audiotonics is what you have? These instructions are for Audacity but other programs may be similar.)

Select and highlight the entire file - usually you can just click in the left hand header box the the start of the file. Or put your cursor at one end of the file, click, move cursor to the other end, and shift-click. Whole file should be highlighted

Choose the "Effect" tab, then the "Amplify" selection.

Enter dB to amplify from the PL Note numbers to put the file into the correct range. For example, looks like Act 1 => -6 (that "-" deamplifies it); Acts 2 and 3 => 15 dB

Big thing to look for when you amplify is that you don't "clip" the signal - exceed the +/- 1.0 bounds on the volume scale. That distorts the signal and makes it fuzzy, and can not be fixed after you export the mp3. Sometimes if it only clips in one spot, you can deamplify that spike and then amplify everything. Or, if really necessary, you can try again with a smaller amplify number if it is going to clip with the right number and I'll see if I can do anything when I edit everything together.

Thanks, Todd

Thank you! Great work as always, just a couple of small notes:

Act 1:

2:00, I hear "yelped" rather than "yclept".

Act 2:

~0:50 - missing line "All Man and Woman Kind: Elaria’s false."

Act 3:

This may already be on your radar and just hasn't been submitted yet, but Don Cinthio also has a couple of lines near the very end of Act 3. I didn't see a spot for this in the MW, so I figured I'd point it out just in case.

Thank you. I did not see lines for Act 3. I will pull out the microphone and get back to work!

I will work on these edits as well.

Take care,

Greg

PS Would you please add an entry in the MW for Act 3. Thanks!

Hi Todd,

May I take Stentor, please?

For Act 1, I only see him in the prologue: is that right?

Also, as stentor indicates a loud voice, I was going to use my stadium announcer baritone voice if that seems appropriate to you. :loudspeaker:

So long as you back away from the microphone enough to avoid clipping, that will be fine.

Act 1 = just in the Prologue is my take too.

Thanks, Todd
