Lord of a Thousand Suns by Poul William Anderson (1926 - 2001).

This project is now complete! All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/lord-of-a-thousand-suns-by-poul-william-anderson/
A Man without a World, this 1,000,000-year-old Daryesh! Once Lord of a Thousand Suns, now condemned to rove the spaceways in alien form, searching for love, for life, for the great lost Vwyrdda. A great Poul Anderson story. ( Poul Anderson)
  • Text source (only read from this text!): http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/63993
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Your MW is up! Will Larry be joining us? I have not put him in at this point, but if he will be, I will give him access.

Hi Ann and Larry,

I feel like it's old home week. Welcome back to school for Fall semester!

It's great to have both of you in on this project! :D

I really enjoy these sci-fi books, and I'm hoping to record the remainder of the Poul Anderson ones available on Gutenberg, if my voice holds out!

Thank you both AGAIN!!!

Hi Larry and Ann,

ALL DONE!!

I uploaded section 6, the last section so it is ready for PL. That finishes the last chapter of the book.

I am going to launch a new science fiction book tonight, if either of you might be interested.

Thank you to both of you again. :D :D :D

I will keep an eye out for the new one! Just put my - icequeen in the subject line and the other admins will know that it is claimed. Of course, with Poul having died in 2001, there are not many admins that can pick up these projects!
