Thank you, Todd. Sorry I hadn't gotten to those yet (or even responded in the thread). The last few days were unusually busy for me. I think things are more or less back to normal now.

Missing line for England (hidden by stage directions at top of page 70): "Glad we didn't strike one of your busy days. I say, You're not as dressy as you used to be. 'Ow are they doing you, all right?"

Rest is PL OK; love the accent. You can put the extra line in a small separate file - I have the rest assembled already.

Thanks, Todd
Ah Yes, I see where you mean. I read it as Fanny's line! No probs will get on to it later today.
Cheers,
Sue.

Act 1 ready for final PL. Missing voice credits for the unclaimed Empire friends, but those can be caught in Spot PL later if you want to start listening now.

By the way, I found three other plays by Jerome K Jerome at Archive.org so if you liked this as much as I have, we can continue with more!

Thanks, Todd

May I read Ireland, presently part 1?

Here's Ireland, length 0:32. (I should have said when asking that I am quite unable to sound convincingly Irish; but it's not clear to me that the Empire girls actually come from the places they represent...)

Thank you.

I agree that you don't have to come from the places represented - on stage the costumes were probably representative and elaborate (if there had been a musical hall stage scene, which there wasn't).

PL OK

Excellent job, Todd! And what a fantastic play! It's even more fun than I'd anticipated! :9: I had a listen to the first two acts. I have a couple of suggestions for act 1. No time for act 4 tonight.

Act 1:

25:08 I would shorten this pause, so that Vernon cuts off his aunt a bit sooner.
30:11 We have an instance of "The Misses W," rather than "Wetherell" here. I don't know whether this may have been one that I missed in my initial notes, or how important it is to address. Up to you.

No suggestions for act 2. PL ok right off!
