Just to let you all know, I will be catching up on the PL-ing later this week. I have a work deadline Thursday and will mostly be trying to get that finished.

I am not an expert but a quick google found that the limit might be 80 minutes not 70 https://www.howtogeek.com/322676/why-can-i-only-burn-80-minutes-of-music-to-a-cd-if-my-mp3s-take-up-less-than-700mb-of-space/ Maybe there is a longer discussion about it at librivox someplace?

Of note I know that some early works published in the SSF collections, are broken into two parts of about 30 - 45 minutes each.

No, that won't be necessary. You just made it for the length limit. It just needs to be at or under 70 minutes so it will fit on a CD for readers that listen to them that way.

0:17 - in the intro after “recorded by” and before starting the story, need to say story title and author again.

10:26 small stumble/repeat.

Hi Ralph,
You did a great job on such a long first recording. Bumping the microphone or rustling papers can take away from your reading. That is something to avoid in your next recording.
Could you delete the instance at 0.33 and resubmit your recording.

Thanks for updating it. It is PL OK now.
I think it is good to use different voices. A subtle change usually works well.
I don't like to give too much feed back. You may find another proof listener who will be more helpful on that front.

FYI - I know there a couple of minor stumbles remaining in this recording, attempts to correct them were not able to replicate the tempo and tone.

A couple of small fixes...

4:32. Text says “violent”; I hear “voluntary” which changes a key point in the story.

7:28 repeat/stumble.
