Here is the corrected section 5 - with added bonus sections 6 & 7 to boot!

https://librivox.org/uploads/mightyfelix/mediaevalhymns_06_neale_128kb.mp3 (5:26)

https://librivox.org/uploads/mightyfelix/mediaevalhymns_07_neale_128kb.mp3 (4:27)

Let me know what you think!
Section 5 and section 7 PL ok, thank you! Great work with these. I enjoyed hearing them all!

Section 6:
0:24 This pause here feels extremely long. Anything more than 2 or 3 seconds often feels uncomfortable when listening, I think, and here you have almost 5 seconds of silence before you start in again. Plenty of time for someone to start wondering if their device froze up. I'd cut this silence by at least half.
1:11 Word flip. Text reads (p. 18), "By her Lord shall she be led." I hear, "By her Lord she shall be led."
1:26 Added word. Text reads (p. 18), "And by virtue of her merits..." I hear, "And by the virtue of her merits..."
(These two feel very nitpicky, I'm sure. Things like that would be given a pass in almost all of our projects, but I am holding these hymns to a word perfect reading, which is done much less often. :) )
Also note that in both 6 and 7, you have a little more than 5 seconds of silence at the end. It's not enough to bother with, I think, but try to remember to trim it to five seconds for future recordings.

A hymn for Sunday :D
Thank you, Alan! I like this one. A very nice Easter hymn.

0:35 A nitpicky word-perfect kind of PL note. Text reads (p. 114), "Who, two days since, through torments ran..." I hear, "Who, two days since, through torment ran..."
PL ok! This one has a fun rhythm to it. :)

22: (I like the readings of different wooden objects in the old testament and how each is a figure of the cross.)
3:22 This sounds like a totally different name. Text reads (p. 99), "So also S. Hildebert..." I hear, "So also S. Hyper..." :hmm:
4:16 The same name occurs again here, and you pronounced it differently than the first time. They should at least be consistent. This time it sound like "He-bare." Should be "Hildebert."
5:56 Word change. Text reads, "There the Spirit's oil is scanted." I hear, "Where the Spirit's oil is scanted." The "where" sounds patched in, as if maybe you read "there" at first and then thought it was wrong.

23: (Forgive my saying so, but I think this is an example of when Bible allegorizers go too far! There's no way that this reading of Uriah/Bathsheba/David can hold any more water than a tumbleweed!  )
4:23 Mispronunciation that changes the meaning. I hear "the genteel church." It should be "the Gentile church." (p. 104. Gentile rhymes with smile.)
4:41 Same as above.
6:43 Same as above.

24 PL ok! I do like how you chose to handle the footnotes here. That was a tough one!

Sure I will grab section 16 then, though since even this section is a bit of a size I will do a test record to make sure everything is working before spending too much time on it. My full name is Michael Harrison. I will update my profile too as it seems a wee bit dusty.
Thanks so much for your flexibility and understanding! Here is your updated catalogue page, with your full name: https://librivox.org/reader/7019 We also have a gmail email account for you in the system. Is that accurate, or do you wish to use the one in your signature line?

Let me know when you've posted your test, and I will check it myself, if I can.
It's a new setup so I have created a raw recording of the new environment for your feedback. Normally I would do a cleanup, but I would appreciate the thought you might have. Thanks

Wow, that must be a great setup you have there! This is without any background noise removal or anything? It sounds cleaner than my recordings do, after I run noise reduction!

You've already been given the ok to record in Listeners Wanted, so whenever you're ready to record your section, I'm ready to hear it! 8-)

Yah I'm pretty proud of the results from the retool of equipment and software. I have a special room under construction now too so I can complete a nice quiet space, but yes, this was raw without any post production work at all yet. :D

Okay, since my section is the only one left I better get on with the recording. My goal is by the end of the week at the latest.

Thanks so much, Adrian! You did a great job with these. I have some nitpicky notes for a couple of these, since we are doing word perfect on the hymns. :)

17: (I don't know anything about these hours, so this was quite interesting to me. I wonder why he didn't just put each of these hymns in its own section, though, instead of including that second one in full as a footnote? )
6:48 Word change. It throws off the meter a bit. Text reads (p. 70): "Were whelmed like lead..." I hear: "Were overwhelmed like lead..."

18: (I really liked the meter of this one! You did a good job of bringing it out, too. :) )
1:59 Word change (tense). Text reads (p. 72): "Saith unto the scoffer..." I hear: "Said unto the scoffer..."

19: (This one is very interesting! The four creatures are certainly intriguing symbols.)
0:55 This one could be my ears playing tricks. Text reads (p. 78): "John the prophet's witness sharing..." I think I hear: "Join the prophet's witness sharing..."
5:17 In general, these footnotes do quite well at the end of the stanzas. But I think this one would be better at the end of the line, after "devising," 5:07. Otherwise, I think we're apt to forget about the "double" thing. I tried it out that way and I think it sounds good. But if you'd rather leave it where it is, that would be fine too.
5:40 Word change. Text reads (p. 80): "Ox-- Whom victim's passion slayeth." I hear: "Ox-- Whose victim's passion slayeth."

20: (Some interesting parallels here! I'd never heard that about the bunch of grapes before. The footnotes are awkwardly placed in this one too, but I don't have a suggestion for what else to do with them, so they're fine as they are.)
5:19 Word change. Text reads (p. 86): "He creates a new Creation." I hear: "He created a new Creation."
5:24 Word change. Text reads (p. 86): "Binds two peoples into one." I hear: "Binds two people into one."

And 21 PL ok! Some awkwardly placed footnotes here again, but again, I don't have a better idea! Well done!
Thank you for your kind words. Nit-pick away!
Sorry this is so slow, I thought I'd already uploaded my changes, but that was mere wishful thinking.
