Hello TriciaG

I'm trying to edit the description of The Summer Holidays:(Children Story)

Please let me know if I'm doing the wrong way.
I've lost the MW you set it up for me. I can't see it.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Best

Umm - yeah, you basically deleted everything in the first post except for the new summary. :)

It's not the end of the world, but there's no way to recover it. Would you go back into the Project Template Generator and add all the information again? Use your new summary. :) Then copy/paste the resulting code into the first post.

It won't get you back the Magic Window - I have to put in the code for that - but it'll be a start. I have a busy day today, so I don't be able to clean it up until this evening (in about 8-10 hours from now).

Here's the Magic Window in the meantime:

The Summer Holiday: A story for Children by Amere ( - 0).

Mr Harvey two sons Thomas and John were very anxious for their cousin Samuel Reed to spend the August holidays with them. The boys had not seen each other since New Year's Day, and Mr Harvey told his son that they might go to see an old man name Hail who was so sickly that he could not work. This old man's name was Hall, and the boys of the school called him Daddy Hall. He had once been rich; but sickness and misfortune had reduced him to poverty, so that he now lived with his little son, in a small hut, near a hill. ( )
  • Text source (only read from this text!): http://www.gutenberg.org/files/15684/15684-h/15684-h.htm
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Maria,

I see that you posted this project a second time in the launch pad. I've moved that thread behind the scenes since you've already got things set up in this thread.

I can't DPL but I had a few minutes to PL your first section. It sounds great. PL OK. :D

Please put the file length in the notes column. It helps your DPL know how much time to set aside and is a verification during the catalog process.
