Very nice so far, but I'm afraid you forgot to turn the page. This poem is a two-pager.

Chris, you have made my newbie process so non-intimidating. Thank you for the proof listening service you provide and for your gentle touch in providing constructive feedback. Look forward to participating in more Australian poetry projects - soon.

Until Next Time,

Hello there!
*waits for "General Kenobi...*

Ah, just thought I'd check in and see how the project is going.
This is my first LV volunteer work, so I'm just eager to see it's completion and listen to everyone's work, too :D

Here is Section 11, A Grey Day.
Duration: 3:13.44
Note that in the last line I used the poetic pronunciation of "wind" with a long I and a diphthong.

Wow, what a voice, Margaret!

I would describe it as 'satiny' with just a touch of that smoky lilt that Lauren Bacall used to bring to the screen. And your timing on the mid-line dramatic pauses was perfect. Many would be tempted to close out the line faster, but you make your listener wait just long enough and then drive the line home.

I reckon Roderic Quinn would be most pleased with this rendition of his poem. I hope to see you over in the Dramatic Section where the plays and dramatic readings are performed. viewforum.php?f=27

Many thanks and PL-OK.

Cheers,
Chris

"Gallipoli obviously meant a lot to this guy :( "

The "Sacrifice of Youth" had to mean something to that Lost Generation or it would've gone collectively insane.

You're on, mate!
