I'd like to read Green Tea by Joseph Sheridan LeFanu. This is out of copyright and available at http://www.gutenberg.org/files/11635/11635-h/11635-h.htm

How do I get that accepted for the collection? I've just joined so this will be my first reading.

Welcome to Librivox and to the Ghost and Horror Collection! To offer a recording, follow the instructions in the first post, mainly for the disclaimer/start and end of recording, filename, uploading, and then post your link here along with the needed information. In general, you can find all the information you need in the first post of any project you are interested in.

Then your recording will be proof-listened, and if everything is fine, your recording will be marked PL OK in the magic window. Or maybe there'll be fixes needed, like repeats, or stumbles, which hopefully you'll be able to edit.

If the recording gets longer than ~74 minutes (audio CD capacity), you will need to split it in two files. Have fun recording! :D

Thank you, alixsquish, for your kinds words and the feedback!

I fixed the part at 42:14, and the file is a little louder too. The MP3 URL with the new version is the same as before.
Thanks! This is now PL OK :)

Thank you Dale - definitely a horror story, in more ways than one!...
One PL Note - a repeated sentence at 19:18 - in accordance [stumble] in accordance

Sadly out of time today but will get to part two of The Insanity of Jones for Maxgal later this week!

Thank you alixsquish

Here is the "tickled with" recording link.
Made the amendment and decibel level near 89

Thank you-learning so much with the recordings I submit.

The Pit and the Pendulum by Edgar Allen Poe
Text source: https://www.gutenberg.org/files/2148/2148-h/2148-h.htm#chap2.15
MP3:https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/ghohor046_pitandthependulum_poe_vc_128kb.mp3 (47:30)
Hi entervinput - this was lovely to listen to, thank you for submitting it! I've marked it as PL ok, but there are a couple of tiny PL notes worth fixing if you can, but they don't ruin the recording.
I hear an echo/double voice at around 42:14
It's a little on the quiet side at 86db - if you're making an edit anyway, 87-91 is ideal, with a target of 89
grant007love wrote: November 12th, 2020, 3:06 pm Hello again Rapunzelina!
Here for you is:
The Top Attic in Pringle's Mansion by Elliott O'Donnell
https://www.gutenberg.org/files/20034/20034-h/20034-h.htm#CASE_II
16m36s
https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/ghohor046_topattic_odonnell_gl_128kb.mp3

Thank you again for the opportunity.
Thank you for this - I love a haunted house story and this one is perfect.
One PL note - you've missed the title and author name which should come after 'read by...' from the intro. It's around 00:19
If you're making that edit anyway, you're a tiny bit on the quiet side too - just under the 87-91 range at 86.8. I wouldn't have flagged it if I wasn't giving another note so don't worry too much, but the closer you can get to 89, the better.

Repunzelina - your wish has come true!
I present to you one of your suggestions, which is indeed a horror story.

No worries Dale - no one can be perfect all the time! And your edit is seamless :)
This is now PL ok

Thanks maxgal - this is also PL ok.
Some very vivid stuff there. My eyes!

Should have some more time tomorrow for more PL - and perhaps to finish the Blackwood trilogy :)

Ah yes, the eyes.
This is much more gruesome than I am used to, from Blackwood!
Between the tragedy of Carmilla and this torture stuff, no wonder I have to get back to my Nonsense Novels, and soon.
