EBB is ALWAYS a good choice, no matter how often she's been recorded. Thank you very much, David! It's a nice choice for Halloween/Day of the Dead too, with the Arthur Machen link. With any luck some horror fans will turn up to the party as well!

I struck me this afternoon, that there had been no Forninighty submissions - turns out no notifications, but lots of readers.
Thank you Brize, Bruce, Rowan, Adrian, Phil, Erin and Frank.
(and thanks for the PL Bruce.)

Roma, the volume is 84.3 dB. You should aim for your waveforms to peak near the 0.5 mark, like this:RomaSingh wrote: ↑October 26th, 2020, 5:43 pm Beautiful poem! Enjoyed reading it. My contribution at 2:07. Thanks.

You can check your volume using our Checker program - see info at http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Checker You will find the volume in decibels on the Information tab. For your information, we look for around 89 dB (87-91 is OK) (all the other tech specs are there also)

Thank you Frank, I hear a couple of mis-reads - at 1:27 "To make sweet music, that they could succeed.” the text reads "To make sweet music, they could succeed.”Frank249942 wrote: ↑October 30th, 2020, 7:41 am My input for the fortnightly coming in at 2:16

and at 2:02 the second last line is missing "For the reed which grows nevermore again"

As far as I know, 86 has seemed to pass so far. I was told the target range was 86-92dB. Thanks for the info, I'll aim for 89 now!
