Hello T, J,

I'm still here. Personal stuff taking much spare time right now, but it will ease up in 2 weeks and I'll get back to recording.

Another thing, unrelated to this project -- I assume everyone's aware of the fact that for several weeks Chrome has been designating LibriVox files as unsafe to download?

Just FYI.

best, Kirsten

Thanks for the update!

Chrome does that once in a while. Eventually it clears up.

11-13 PL OK, although they're all on the loud side (93-94 dB). I double checked 8-10, and they are all about 90.

I've marked them as See PL Notes for now. :)

Tricia, I put these in the MW, but I'm never quite sure when I replace one link with another that the new one is actually pasted in. Of course the times are the same.

Please let me know if I didn't succeed with the MW pasting, and tell me how to do it correctly. (What I did was click on old link, paste in new link, hit enter.)

Chapter 12 in the MW now leads to a recording of Chapter 11. (The link is named 12, but the recording is 11.)

It's good to be in the habit of replacing the link, like you do. (Enter the field, delete what's there, paste the new one, and hit Enter. Or since the whole link is highlighted when entering the field, just pasting like you wrote will replace it.) But if you are 100% certain the new link is the same as the old one - if you uploaded to the same folder, and the file name is exactly the same - you don't have to paste it in. The uploader renames the old file (appends a time stamp on it), so that the link is always pointing to the newest file.

But like I said, it's always safest to paste in the uploader link anyway, just in case!

Hi tricia,

Sorry about that chapter 11, chapter 12 mix up. I'll see if you fixed it and if you haven't I will.

Let me get straight what you said. I think I understand that if I upload a new version of a chapter your software automatically replaces the old version, assuming it has exactly the same title, with the new one. So, in principle, it is not necessary to paste the link from the uploader into the MW. However, sometimes there are glitches, so it is always best to be safe and paste the revised file both in the thread and in the MW.

If I got it right, no need to respond.

(You just think a PhD from MIT wouldn't be so skittish about this kind of stuff, wouldn't you? Well, that was when I was in my late 20s, now I'm in my early 60s. Explanation enough.)
