No worries. I've got a husband with a broken collarbone and hip, so I'm a bit distracted as well.

WHEW!

Joe -- here's the blurb. I think you have to be super-senior to access that piece. :D

Here's another intriguing mystery by J. S. Fletcher, centering on why a former high-level police official was murdered, and on whether - and if so how - the murder was linked to two glamorous and high-profile sisters, one of whose photo was found in the dead man's pocket. As usual, Fletcher creates a number of different detectives -- a lawyer, his assistant, several policemen, a police spy, and even the dead man's granddaughter -- following various lines of inquiry. These lines converge rapidly in the last few chapters, when the author lets the reader weave them together into a coherent whole: the solution to the mystery.

Dear Joe and Tricia,

WHEW!

Thanks so much for hanging in with me during the loooong process of my getting this project done.

Joe, the catalog page is perfect. Thanks for your work on this.

Tricia, you're the best LV-sponsor, and the best PL -- careful, flexible, funny ... Thanks for joining "my" team again.

The second half of this project was a REAL CHORE. Fletcher's later mysteries are FAR better. That'll teach me to grab a solo without reading a bit, and checking whether it's one of the author's "mature" works.

'Til the next project - adios!

Kirsten
