16:17 a line missing from Gulzara, here in bold "Next morn, While herbs and flowers on neighboring hills I sought, My thoughts were roving,"
I missed it in the preliminary part PL because I was following the text in the google doc for easier and faster PL, where the line is missing. But it doesn't actually change anything in the meaning or story-line, so up to you.

Sorry to not respond to this right away. I meant to, but got busy and forgot about it. I'll see if we can get a recording of this line to insert.

If any of you are interested in this sort of thing, I have posted a blog entry about some of the historical background about this play here https://www.tla.wapshottpress.org/2021/02/01/anna-cora-mowatt-gulzara-and-the-parlor-theatrical/

And here's a little more information about it on my website https://alphacentauri2.info/AnnaCoraMowatt/AMCgulzara.html

Ayesha Act II:

https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/gulzara_ayesha_2_128kb.mp3

I've recorded Acts 4 & 5 as well, but it may take a bit of editing. I got a little melodramatic and even cried real tears when presenting my backstory in Act 4, so watch out!

I love reading your blog, Kelly. It makes doing a project such as this one so much more meaningful.

Amurath Act V, adorable performance, just one short phrase missing, would go around 0:26 in the recording "to myself gave liberty; And flew to thee through darkness – night"

Ayesha, Act II, one word missing in the phrase "Your lips shall to the sound respond" (04:05), if you think it's worth adding. Otherwise, PL OK!

Hooray! I'm looking forward to listening to it! I think Ayesha calls for a bit of melodrama... The audience needs to engage with her inner turmoil for the drama to work.

I'm glad you enjoyed the blog! :D
