16:17 a line missing from Gulzara, here in bold "Next morn, While herbs and flowers on neighboring hills I sought, My thoughts were roving,"ktaylor07 wrote: ↑January 20th, 2021, 9:54 am Here is Act I!

I missed it in the preliminary part PL because I was following the text in the google doc for easier and faster PL, where the line is missing. But it doesn't actually change anything in the meaning or story-line, so up to you.
Little Amurath in Act 2 is PL OK! His cries were so heart-breaking, I wished I could go and help himbenderca wrote: ↑January 25th, 2021, 2:07 pm And here is poor little Amurath, getting abducted...

Amurath, Act 4, is PL OK!
Sorry to not respond to this right away. I meant to, but got busy and forgot about it. I'll see if we can get a recording of this line to insert.Rapunzelina wrote: ↑January 26th, 2021, 11:19 am16:17 a line missing from Gulzara, here in bold "Next morn, While herbs and flowers on neighboring hills I sought, My thoughts were roving,"ktaylor07 wrote: ↑January 20th, 2021, 9:54 am Here is Act I!

If any of you are interested in this sort of thing, I have posted a blog entry about some of the historical background about this play here https://www.tla.wapshottpress.org/2021/02/01/anna-cora-mowatt-gulzara-and-the-parlor-theatrical/
And here's a little more information about it on my website https://alphacentauri2.info/AnnaCoraMowatt/AMCgulzara.html

Here comes Amurath to appeal to everyone's better nature... what a sympathetic character.

Hooray! Hooray! He does turn out to be a very noble little fellow, doesn't he? No wonder everyone loves him so much...benderca wrote: ↑February 5th, 2021, 5:31 am Here comes Amurath to appeal to everyone's better nature... what a sympathetic character.

Ayesha Act II:

I've recorded Acts 4 & 5 as well, but it may take a bit of editing. I got a little melodramatic and even cried real tears when presenting my backstory in Act 4, so watch out!
I love reading your blog, Kelly. It makes doing a project such as this one so much more meaningful.

Amurath Act V, adorable performance, just one short phrase missing, would go around 0:26 in the recording "to myself gave liberty; And flew to thee through darkness – night"
Ayesha, Act II, one word missing in the phrase "Your lips shall to the sound respond" (04:05), if you think it's worth adding. Otherwise, PL OK!

Hooray! I'm looking forward to listening to it! I think Ayesha calls for a bit of melodrama... The audience needs to engage with her inner turmoil for the drama to work.benderca wrote: ↑February 10th, 2021, 9:32 am Ayesha Act II:
