Just finished the stage directions for the Pinero one act play, so this looks easy be comparison, so I'd be glad to read the stage directions for this.

This character is starting to play a devious game of his own
I find this English translation very easy to read aloud. It may not be much like the poetic style of Racine but it is a decent text in its own right

And indeed...Narcissus is proving quite the manipulator here. Funny when he says to Nero he should rule himself and not submit to tutelage, but at the same time tells him exactly what to do
