That excellent! Thanks, Rapunzelina.
By the way, why was the Librivox site down yesterday? Was there a hack?
All best,

I'm not aware but it doesn't seem like a hack. My guess is server maintenance. It happens from time to time. Usually it lasts fewer hours though.

Hello Melissa! Welcome to Librivox and to the Poetry Collection! Thank you so much for your contributions!!
I have a request for a couple of edits if you are able to.

The first thing is the opening and closing words; we are using a shortened form of the disclaimer because it is a poetry project, so it would be:

• At the beginning of the recording, leave no more than one second of silence and read the abbreviated "LibriVox disclaimer":
"[Poem title], by [author], read for LibriVox dot org by [your name]"
• Then read the poem.
• At the end, say: "End of poem. This recording is in the public domain." and leave five seconds of silence.

Then when exporting, use only lower-case letters for the file-names.

The other thing is the tech specs of the first file "To My Dear and Loving Husband" (the rest are fine, so I assume you'll be able to fix this one too, but if you need help let me know :D ) It should be in mono, at 128 kbps constant (it's currently stereo, variable ~109kbps) and it has 30 seconds of silence at the beginning.

That's it! The reading itself is beautiful! I'm glad you've joined us here!

Welcome to Librivox and to the Poetry collection, Kyra! I have entered you as krt in the Catalogue: https://librivox.org/reader/15181
but let me know if that's not what you meant (it's a bit unusual  )

Everything fine with your recordings and a lovely voice! Thank you for your contribution!

I'll give us one or two more days for Melissa to have time for the edits, since I couldn't check the files earlier.

But in the meantime, next collection is open here: viewtopic.php?f=28&t=83500
Thank you, everybody!

I re-recording the intro and extro for the poems. I fixed the extra silence and saved from stereo to mono.
URLs are below. (I tried to rename them with lowercase names but my computer rejected it?? It kept changing them back to uppercase...)

Thank you so much for the updated recordings Melissa! All great and complete now!

I would guess the computer tried to overwrite the existing files, so it couldn't replace the filenames, or something like that. No problem though, I will rename during cataloguing, which I will start prepping for now :D

Hi Kyra! While preparing the project for the catalogue, I found a recording by you, "A dream within a dream" by Poe. Is this a recording you'd like included in the collection?
