In my Library (Calibre) I have a list of most PD SF works on Project Gutenberg and tags for those that have an Audio in LibriVox. It is possible for me to search for works that are PD and do not yet have a Audio on LibriVox. If anyone would like more suggestions just ping me.

Here are a couple of suggestions, my word count includes the Project Gutenberg disclaimer, so actually story is shorter then listed.

-------------------------------
The Mercenaries
H. Beam Piper
Words 11,721

--------------------------------

Time In the Round
Fritz Leiber

----------------------------

Vassi
Arthur M. Lewis

Hi James,
That's great. In Book Suggestions, Colleen has a thread of Recent Sci Fi here:
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=78743
and Chuck has a List of Early Science Fiction thread here:
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=55853

I think there may be something you can use to search for PD stories that haven't been recorded yet. Let me see if I can find it.
Update:
There is this, but it isn't up to date.
https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=LibriVox_Short_Science_Fiction_Index
I am not sure if it is exactly what you want. There may be something else out there, but I can't find it.
Cheers,
-Amy

Thanks Amy, actually I went through every work on https://librivox.org/search?primary_key=30&search_category=genre&search_page=1&search_form=get_results and added it to my Library if I didn't have it all ready. If I did I made a note that there was an Audio of it.

Hi all

I'm new to Librivox and looking to make my first recording (excluding the one minute test which I've already done). The sci-fi short works really interest me, although I'm a bit confused by the structure of this topic. Am I able to pick any short work I find via the links (Gutenberg, Galaxy Magazine etc.) and submit those? Do I need to suggest a particular title first, or just record any that I like and submit?

Look forward to hearing from you.
Loz

Hi Loz,
You can record whatever one you like and then submit it.
Have fun!-Amy
