Thank you, Tchaikovsky! I'm putting this in the MW for Larry (silverquill) to listen to and provide you feedback. I do have a couple of pieces of feedback I can give you right away, without listening.

For one thing, you should always include the duration of each file when you submit it. This helps us check that we have the right file and nothing was cut off. It looks like this one comes to 15:54. Is that right?

Second, pay special attention to the instructions in the first post about how to name your file. It says there:

Save files as
128 kbps MP3
uttermoststar_##_boreham_128kb.mp3 (all lower-case) where ## is the section number (e.g. uttermoststar_01_boreham_128kb.mp3)

Note that the section number isn't always the same as the chapter number. The section number is the number in the very first column of the MW table, 22 in this case. So, this file should have been named uttermoststar_22_boreham_128kb.mp3 However, don't change it yet. We'll wait to see if Larry has any other feedback for you first.

Overall an excellent reading! So, you are to be congratulated on that.

(We just bought a holly bush to plant. It’s a female with red berries, so we will have to get a male one in the spring to plant).

Anyway, there are just a few corrections to make.

First, the opening silence is too long. It should be less than one second. I usually try for something between 0.5 and 1/0. There are also some extraneous sounds in there. Then the ending silence is a bit short. You have about 4 seconds and we like something closer to 5 seconds.

0.30 – 0.34 I find this gap too long when listening . I find 1/0 – 1.5 seconds about right.

11:40 noticeable buzz. You might be able to cut out some of that.

15:43-48 Again, I find this gap too long in listening . Try 1/0 – 1.5 seconds. Also, some sounds just as you start to say, “End of….” That you could clip out.

Just a general comment for you consideration; There seems to be some audio distortion, a sort of tinny sound heard most at the end of words and between words. I’ve heard this sometime when over aggressive noise reduction has been used. No need to change this recording, but something to keep in mind for future recordings.

So, most of this is just fine tuning. Now you can upload the modified recording under the correct file name and post here with the new file length and I'll spot check it.
