The Adventures of Danny Meadow Mouse by Thornton W. Burgess (1874 - 1965).

This project can be found in our catalog at https://librivox.org/the-adventures-of-danny-meadow-mouse-version-2-by-thornton-w-burgess/
This is the story of a chubby little meadow mouse and his family in the big forest and fields where he lives. His many adventures are sometimes scary but they always end with him escaping the many hunters who mean him harm.
  • Text source (only read from this text!): https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/25529
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - duetist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Hi! This is my first solo book. I found this interesting book while searching for public domain books to read. Please tell me if I did everything right to start the book off. Thanks!

I tried splitting the sections wisely, I don't know if I did well:

Section 1- Chapters 1-3
Section 2- Chapters 4-7
Section 3- Chapters 7-10
Section 4- Chapters 10-14
Section 5- Chapters 14-17
Section 6- Chapters 18-21
Section 7- Chapters 21-23

Thanks!

Re splitting - version 1 https://librivox.org/the-adventures-of-buster-bear-by-thornton-w-burgess/ split it into 6 sections, so you can use it to get an idea of the reading length ,

Ok, and yes, I did view that. Thanks! I can switch my sections to that.

As Anne has mentioned, this would be version 2 of this book.

However, Thornton Burgess has written 75 books that are in the public domain right now (left hand side, until "Billy Mink"):
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thornton_Burgess#Books

And we have only 38 of these in our catalog, so there should be plenty more to choose from!

(Just mentioning that because you say "looking for new books" in your signature )

Oh, great! So should I change my post? I will find a new book, which is exactly the reason for my signature. I wanted to try and find a book that LibriVox didn't read yet, and this was the closest I could find. I found a book called "The Adventures of Danny Meadow Mouse" and it seems that there is one version of Dramatic Reading. Should I use this book? I searched for a long time all his books, and some of them weren't on Babel or Gutenberg.

Me and Noori want to collab on this. None of us are the BCs. She will take half of the sections, and I will take half. Is this ok? I asked on the Need Help? Got Advice? forum and someon said that DUET's are fine.

Great! If I am right, we need an MC, and a DPL, but do we need a BC?

One (or both) of you are the BC. As a soloist, you're in charge of managing the MW. As a duetist, you either designate one person or tag-team the task.

Your MC will need to know how many sections to put into the MW...
School fiction: David Blaize
America Exploration: The First Four Voyages of Amerigo Vespucci
Serial novel: The Wandering Jew
Medieval England meets Civil War Americans: Centuries Apart

The MC makes the MW. The BC/soloist fills it in.

Ok! Here are the sections:

Section 1 - Chapters 1-3 - spatel2
Section 2 - Chapters 4 -7 - Noori
Section 3 - Chapters 8-11 - spatel2
Section 4 - Chapters 12-15 - Noori
Section 5 - chapters 16-19 - spatel2
Section 6 - Chapters 20-23 - Noori
Section 7 - Chapter 24 - spatel2

Are these a good amount of sections?

I can fill in the sections and readers once the MW is set up, if that's my job. Thanks.
