Queen Zixi of Ix or The Story of the Magic Cloak by L. Frank Baum (1856 - 1919).

This project can now be found in our catalog at https://librivox.org/queen-zixi-of-ix-or-the-story-of-the-magic-cloak-by-l-frank-baum/
L.Frank Baum, of the Wizard of Oz fame, wrote this delightful book and considered it his best of all that he wrote. it tells the story of faeries who weave a magic cloak one day that has the ability to grant it's owner one wish. That's all, just one. After this they must then give it away to another person who will then have a wish of their own. The travels of this magic cloak through it's owners and their adventures and misadventures makes this book truly magical and fun to read. An unusual twist to this tale is that the evil people are not really that evil at all and the good people have quite a few faults and not nice tendencies. In fact it seems that every one, heroes and villains and town people alike, are just like us, full of good impulses and not so good desires that lead us astray. ( phil chenevert)

DPL checking in! I’m so excited about a longer recording! Thank you.

This is my first week of work. Ok only 6 hrs a day over 3 days but then it’s followed by elfing duties. As you can imaging elfing duties are MUCH more intensive. Thu-Sun are for LV though with the exception of this week. Only FrI through Sun due to Labor Day. :D

Whoops. I will fix that later today. Yeah, my sleep is definitely hit or miss these last few months; most nights I am up for two or three hours for no reason. It might be low grade stress or something and I am seeing my doctor about that.

Section 3 is spot check PL OK. Sections 4 and 6 are PL OK.

Section 5
0:56 word change - Bud and Meg were ushered into beautifully furnished rooms on the second floor of the palace, and old Jikki, finding that he had a new master to serve, flew about in his usual nervous manner, and brought the children the most delicious breakfast they had ever eaten in their lives.
I hear Med

Waking up in the middle of the night is no fun. I hope you find relief soon. :(

She's home. She's really weak and tired. They sent her home with a walker. They say recovery will likely take about a month. My sister and brother-in-law are staying with her right now. They haven't let me know when they are leaving.
