3 more sections up!

I think most people (globally speaking) are not as mobile as you think. Most of my classmates from highschool and university still live in Austria. Only when I did my PhD I met more people from abroad, but then again, my uni was very welcoming to international researches. Most people stay at least within their country where it's easy to live and raise kids: No language issues, you know how things are done, help is nearby...

I think it's good. How boring if everybody would look the same! :D

You are right to some extent, most people who move a distance do so for a reason often war but my mainly English and Irish ancestors would be surprised to know that my nieces and nephews have Srilaken, Argentinian, and Taiwanese born partners.

Four more chapters are up. :D I have 36 recorded already, but the last 3 are pretty long again.

I've already finished the cover, found the perfect picture that fits all the palace intrigues...

I have finished the 2 chapters on Daemonism. They come with a list of daemons at the end, in case you need to know which one to ascribe your misfortunes to.

The "mama" daemon is dead though. The daemon of smallpox has been forever vanquished by modern vaccination.

Any other ways available for the destruction of daemons -it might be handy sometimes.
We are in lockdown again and my son is working from home so I'm a bit restricted in my listening - but it will happen.

According to Isabella's manual, the procedures are pretty involved. You need cymbals, gongs, a small earthenware jar to banish the demon into and a busy road under which to bury the jar. Oh: and a 3-foot long Korean drum...

I'd stick with the vaccines. :)

Don't worry about PLing; this one took me so long, a couple weeks up or down won't make a difference anymore.
I do reserve the right to start my next solo once I'm done recording for this one though.

Interesting - especially wives vs other woman.
I couldn't sleep last night and decided to watch something I didn't think would be interesting - a documentary about Amy Tan. Mainly her relationship with her mother but I was fascinated and thus very short of sleep. She gave a very different meaning to concubine than I had thought.

You're faster than I had expected after your announcement! :D

I'll try to record the last one tonight and then see what happens edit-wise in the weekend.

Great, thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed it. She was indeed a fascinating person!
A friend of mine wrote about Isabella in her latest books "The Women I Think About At Night". There are also accounts on Karen Blixen (the biggest chunk of the book), Ida Pfeiffer, Mary Kingsley, Alexandra David-Neel, Nellie Bly, and a few Rennaissance artists; woven into her own travel journals trying to follow their paths.

Anyway, I'll catalog this then!

I already have my eye on another of her books, but I'd like to take a little break and do other readings for a while.
