Maybe he was too much like Moliere and Paris could only handle one?
Thanks, Todd

ending your performance with a really startled "aaah" so funny. Love it when he is so outraged, but in the end he is conned.MManolakes wrote: ↑September 5th, 2020, 10:55 amChicaneau, Act 3, duration 2:01

Thanks. I had to try out a number of different versions of "Ah!" to find the one I liked.

I hope my pronunciations of the French proper nouns isn't too barbarous.
Cheers,

Thank you. I'm sure you'll do better with the improper ones....

good one !
Of course all French nouns, once enough mangled, may become improper. I'll see how far the damage extends...

Dandin again perfectly PL ok. He sounds like a petulant child throughout the act. I can sympathize with the son well done, Alan, thanks !alanmapstone wrote: ↑September 7th, 2020, 8:09 amDandin act 2

I was expecting worse no seriously, it sounds quite good and understandable and I don't think you need to change the names for your further acts. I loved the introduction info as wellSonOfTheExiles wrote: ↑September 7th, 2020, 4:29 pmStage Directions, Act 1, completed:

However I have a few notes to add:
> at 1:48: the narrator usually also should read out all the characters in the list, with the appropriate full descriptions, that way, if a reader disappears without giving us all in their voice credits, we can include the narrator in there. I guess since most of the readers already handed in their correct credits, and only 2 readers are missing, it's enough if you include the missing ones at this point: "L'Intimé, a clerk, read by" and "Isabelle, daughter of Chicaneau, read by". And of course, don't forget to include yourself: "Stage directions read by SonoftheExiles".
> at 4:16: (p. 206): "Petit-Jean, to the Countess" – we need to include the name of the character, as the directions come at the beginning of the speech
thanks

I do have two small corrections for Act 2 though:
> for the voice credit, could you please always read the full description that you can see in the MW, here: "Isabelle, daughter of Chicaneau, read by Hanna Ponomarenko"
> at 2:22: (p. 222) "you may trust Isabelle to keep her word" - you say "your word"
