Hello,

Here is my re-upload of Han's Christian Andersen's 'The Real Princess'.

https://librivox.org/uploads/m8b1/csw038_therealprincess_sb_128kb.mp3

The recording length is 2:60.

The story link is below:

http://www.gutenberg.org/files/1597/1597-h/1597-h.htm#link2H_4_0003

You may use my Forum name of Suzabelle for the folder. Can you please let me know where I will be able to find and access this folder once it's up?

Additionally, I have corrected the settings in my recording. Thank you very much for your assistance.

Just an FYI as a new volunteer; I am finding the site extremely difficult to navigate. Things seems to be dispersed all over without a continual flow. It is not user-friendly at all. I may need to volunteer in other areas that will be easier to access.

Thanks,
Suzabelle
Hi Suzabelle,

Thank you ~ it is PL OK! :-)

Here is a link to your catalog page: https://librivox.org/reader/14799

I'm sorry your having a hard time navigating. I know it can be overwhelming at first, but I promise it gets easier! One of our volunteeers made a video on how to use the forum. Perhaps that would be helpful for you. You can find it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AK9HAdLF-2k

Hi Catherine,

Thank you. Unfortunately now it is a bit too quiet. :-)

If you are using Audacity, the illustration on the 1 minute test page is a pretty good idea of what to aim for visually: https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=1-Minute_Test

You can check your technical settings, and the volume, yourself using this free tool that one of our volunteers made:
https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Checker
https://cgjennings.ca/projects/checker/

Or, just to check the volume, you can download a program called mp3gain. We don't recommend you increase the volume in it, but just to use it to check it. :-)

Could you try one more time please!
Hello again! Alright, the checker liked the volume and said it was at 89.8 dB. Hope it's fixed now :D

Hello Maria,

Please explain the csw038 in the start of the link I uploaded. Is that where I would send all the readings I do in this Children's Short Works category? Not sure where that is coming from.

Thank you,

Suzabelle

Hi Suzabell,

csw038 stands for Children's Short Works Volume 038. It just identifies which collection it goes in. The next one, which I about to get started today, will use csw039. Since these run continuously, I often have files for more than one collection in my folder, so among other reasons, that helps organize them. :-)
