Section 16: nicely read! Just one "bookkeeping" kind of edit to make:

0:20 - instead of saying "section 16", please say "Chapter 6, Workers in Art, Part 3."

Hi Tricia, hope all's well and happy day after Thanksgiving!

Sorry this has taken this long--election, holiday, some new booth equipment, medical stuff, etc. Grateful to be able to contribute.

Also it seems the MW changed or I missed something, as I recall that I was originally assigned the balance of Chapter 15? At any rate, I recorded it forward from "Cellini" to the end. I'm happy to edit the recording as needed, of course. Just let me know.

Also, it seems a recording of more than 60 mins. fails via Checker. I reduced volume as it appeared originally to be too loud (89.9 db).

Please advise, and here's the file. Really enjoyed this chapter, thank you.

Hello!

You were assigned sections 15 and 17, because 16 had already been recorded. So no, you weren't originally assigned the rest of the chapter. Here's your post asking for the chapter, and my response right below it: viewtopic.php?p=1800338#p1800338

If this file is the rest of chapter 6, then you'll need to separate out the first and last parts and ditch the middle. :) Section 15 needs to run from the start of Cellini to the words "perhaps his two greatest works." Depending on how fast you read, it should be about 30 minutes long.

Then the second file to send in should start with the words "Another striking exemplification of perseverance" and go to the end of the chapter. That one will be a bit shorter than section 15; maybe 25 minutes long or so.

P.S. 89.9 dB is almost perfect. This recording is 84.9, which is too low. :)

Thank you for the clarifications- nice to know I have done two of the three sections! Will send improved files of the two chapter sections tomorrow.

Have a good evening,
Linda

No worries. :)

Note the beginning and/or ending texts are noted for your other claimed chapter. That one is not the full chapter, either. ;)

Thanks. What are the run times, please? EDIT: Never mind. I pulled them off the files I just downloaded.

PL will be some time tomorrow (after helping someone move into a new home).

Hi Tricia, I'm sorry, but I think I mis-named section 17 as section 15 - will redo properly - please let me know how you prefer section named - Chapter 6, part 4? when you can, thanks.

good luck with your moving project tomorrow!

After the LV disclaimer, it would be "Ch VI. Workers in Art, Part 4". Instructions for this are in the first post. :)

Be sure to export it with the file name containing 17 - the last one you sent was in as 16, overwriting the actual section 16. I recovered it, but please watch the next upload.

Section 15 - PL OK!

For future reference: 10:55 - "He said to M. de Chantleu" (or however it's spelled) - especially when referring to a Frenchman, the "M." would be (and is typically read as) "Monsieur".

Section 17

0:00 - You have "section 15" rather than "section 17" (which you know). ;)

0:27 - "Section 15, Ch VI. Workers in Art, Part 2" should be "Section 17, Ch VI. Workers in Art, Part 4"

0:31 - "Section 16, Ch VI. Part 3." Just cut this part out altogether. :)

19:46 - "And with them he learned the sol-fa..." repeated at 19:50

24:41 - "End of section 16" should be "end of section 17"
