For consistency with other recordings, the author's name is "Kilmer," not "Klimer." Lovely reading, Melody! Once you have corrected the files, re-upload using the same file names and post in this thread.

Section 57 PL notes:
01:10 "Draught" is generally pronounced "draft." Usually I don't comment on pronunciation but your specific pronunciation significantly changes the meaning. You pronounced "draught" like "drought" (a prolonged period of abnormally low rainfall, leading to a shortage of water) instead of "draft" (the act of drinking, which is what is implied by the line - "I pray for a draught from thy bowl"). Also, please ensure that there are 5 full seconds of silence at the end of the file--currently, there are only 4.

Thanks, Alan! Your friendly yet extremely perfectionistic neighborhood proof-listener has noted that the beginning of the file has 1.4 seconds of silence, and should have less than 1 second. Also, the line at 01:55 reads "outcast is he and damned and spit upon," not "outcast is he and damned to spit upon." Otherwise, good job! Also, I just realized that I have gotten to the point where I have heard so many of your recordings that, when I download files for PL, I can recognize a file is yours just by the Audacity waveform.

To de-amplify in Audacity, select the whole recording. Click Effect > Amplify. In the Amplification box, enter the number -3.6. Verify that the file is around 89 dB using Checker. Thanks for your submission, Stefan! There's only one error that I found, which is in Section 40. The line at 0:38 reads "from the rich clod that was his heart," and I heard "from the rich clog that was his heart."

The uniformity of my waveforms is probably because I always run the Compressor on new recordings and then Amplify to about 5.0 This usually gives an overall volume close to 89db and also removes spikes and plosives, of which I have a lot in my raw recordings.

I hadn't initially noticed that there were corrections for 57 as well written there - I'll fix that tomorrow. I often have pronunciation issues, and generally manage (I think) to catch them all before submitting, but I always appreciate a correction to that or anything else!
