The Janitor's Boy and Other Poems by Nathalia Crane (1913 - 1998).

This project is now complete! All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/the-janitors-boy-and-other-poems-by-nathalia-crane/

Known for her whimsical verse and rhythmic, lilting poems Nathalia Crane was a child prodigy who published her first volume of poetry at the age of 10. There was nothing in her poems that indicated her age. Her delightful verse, and her maturity and insightfulness in poems such as The History of Honey, The Army Laundress, The Reading Boy, The Three Cornered Lot, and The Commonplace, won her recognition among poets. ( AnnaLisa Bodtker)
  • Text source (only read from this text!): http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/62146
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Really? I know it's not your decision but that seems strange. Would I be allowed to listen to the completed recording?

Well, that is up to you. But you must know that if this book is still considered under copyright in Australia, then you may be breaking the law. I am not a lawyer, so I can't say that you would be breaking the law for sure. So if you decide to download and listen, then you take that chance and the responsibility is yours.

Ann I hope this is alright. I have asked Lomond (since he lives in the US and has PLed for me before) if he would PL this project also and he has agreed. Please let me know if I have breached protocol.

No breach of protocol! Sometimes, in this situation, looking for a DPL needs to be proactive! I will put Lomond in as DPL, and we will have a complete team!

Greetings-

You truly have a voice for reading poetry. All twelve have been found PL OK and the MW has been updated to show that.
