Thank you! Sure, I should apply the Noise Reduction?

Simone
Hi Simone! Yes, I would suggest applying the noise reduction, but the final decision is yours. You can try it, and if you like the noise-cleaned version better, go ahead and upload your updated recording. If you don't like it better (since noise reduction doesn't work with all kinds of noises so it might not give good results) we will keep the first version :D

Corrected file uploaded. New duration is 1:05. Congratulations on your anniversary at the helm of SPC, Rapunzelina. I missed that announcement earlier. Poetry does seem to be getting more popular on your watch.

Congratulations on your first Librivox recording! Thank you for contributing in the Poetry Collection!
Your recording is PL OK and added in the Magic Window. Just one comment on the filename, the title should be typed with no spaces or underscores, like so spc206_ohwhyshouldspiritofmortalbeproud_cj_128kb. No worries about this one, I will tweak it during cataloguing :D

Hello Hiranmayi! Thank you for your poems!
I would still suggest the Noise Reduction effect. You could make two passes with softer settings, rather than one pass with aggressive settings.
For example, soft settings:
Noise Reduction: 10
Sensitivity: 3
Frequency smoothing: 2

Feel free to upload noise-cleaned versions of your recordings if you try Noise Reduction and you like the result. Either way, your recordings are in the Magic Window, marked PL OK!

Yes, I get the same amount of background noise in both recordings. I am listening through headphones. If you have, you can listen through headphones too, for more detailed sound, then you can listen better what kind of results noise reduction is producing, if any. Thanks!

Hello, I have tried to clear the background noise using the settings you suggested. I think it's better than the previous ones. Hope this works

Thank you, Hiranmayi!
I think Noise Reduction is a useful tool, and if you get background noise in your recordings, it's good that you are getting familiar with applying it :D
