These pulps have some gems in them! Keep them coming :D

In this recording, I think there is a repetition around 14:57 "and it was --" ?

Greetings fair Rapunzelina:
It may be a bit outside this project's design but it is otherworldly, "A Ghost's Story" by Mark Twain. If it fits the collection it is here:
https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/ghohor040_ghostsstory_twain_th_128kb.mp3 Duration: 21mm53ss
If not in the spirit of the collection it is fine to ignore it.

Hi Rapunzelina -

Here is another chilling Russian horror story:

Title: The White Dog by Fyodor Sologub (1863 – 1927)
Text URL: https://www.gutenberg.org/files/48452/48452-h/48452-h.htm#chap04
Duration: 13:24

Thank you, Tommy! At the beginning of the story, I was afraid that the bedroom scenes would affect my going to bed tonight... Your reading inspired fear! But the last sentence of the story made me laugh, so I think I'll be alright :D We can use the Gutenberg ebook as text source. http://www.gutenberg.org/files/3189/3189-h/3189-h.htm#ghost
Which one did you use? I noticed you typed the title as Ghost's story, but in the recording you say Ghost's tale (in intro and outro). Not a difference really, I'm only mentioning it because it's the title. I have marked the recording PL OK  , but feel free to make the change if you choose to. (In the gutengerg ebook the title is "A Ghost Story")

Thank you, Daniel! PL OK! I watched the 2020 series "Dracula" on Netflix and there was a scene where Dracula comes out of the body of a wolf. Something in the story reminded me of the scene. Probably just the mention of the animals, and that it's Eastern European located

My Fair Lady,
I used the AmericanLiterature.com version at: https://americanliterature.com/author/mark-twain/short-story/a-ghost-story
They state that A Ghost's Tale is an alternate Title . . . perhaps it is just for their catalogue? I change the file name if that would make it all copacetic.

That was easy: https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/ghohor040_ghoststale_twain_th_128kb.mp3
Yes, adding a tale to a story makes it much better.
