Hi Linda,
I was cleaning out old files from my uploader folder and I noticed that you haven't been including the _128kb in your filenames. I can fix this for you on the already uploaded files when I catalog the project, but please keep it in mind for any new files you upload. The filename should follow the pattern below:
womeninamerica_##_larus_128kb.mp3
Thanks!

Hi Jo,
I am so sorry I didn’t get that included in the file names.
I need to figure out what I am doing. When I converted the files to mp3 it looked like the files were named that way and I totally missed it that they weren’t.
Thank you for all your help and kind words of gentle correction.

Hi Linda,
thanks for posting Section 18. Can you please check around 8:20 "... in those halcion days", there appears to be a small stumble.
Take care, Susanne

You're such a precise reader that it's easy to notice if something doesn't sound right! Now all is perfect.putzy a wrote: ↑December 6th, 2020, 8:41 pmReady for spot check. Thanks for listening so carefully for me.Sunrise2020 wrote: ↑December 5th, 2020, 6:25 am Hi Linda,

Hi Susanne,
Chapter 13 is up; another interesting one.
He claims the gentlemen were happy to welcome the women into the workforce and behaved gentlemanly. What could have happened between then and now

It's fascunating for me to listen to these accounts of what was thought progressive back then. And to think it took until Hillary Clinton for another woman to run for President!
Can you please check 31:09 for a stumble and a click: Her share in the first women's rights convention...

Hi Susanne,
I fixed section 20 and the new length really is the same as section 21. What a way to end a project. This turned out to be way more interesting than I thought it would be.
I am thinking about doing another book in the series, v.3. Women of early Christianity / A. Brittain and M. Carroll. If I decide to go ahead are you interested in DPLing for me again?
Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and will have a great New Year too.

Dear Linda, we had a very nice and quiet Christmas and I'm grateful that everyone is healthy! I hope you also had a good holiday and will start the New Year on a hopeful tone.
I'll be very happy to DPL the next book with you. It sounds interesting!
I'll proof the last chapter later today or tomorrow.
Take care,

All the proofs are done and what a coincidence that the last two chapters were of exactly the same length!
Thanks that I could join the team and it was very interesting for me to hear about women's participation in American history from a different/older perspective.
Looking forward to the next project!

Linda,
There is a problem here. All but the first 9 (sections 0-8) files are at the wrong bitrate. Files 9-21 were saved at around 100 (96-105) kbps variable bitrate rather than 128kbps constant bitrate that LV requires.
Please reopen the files in Audacity, and resave them to mp3 as follows -
File - Export - Export as mp3.
In the window that pops up, set the bitrate at the bottom of the export window under Format Options.
Bit Rate Mode: Constant
Quality - select 128 kbps from the dropdown
Channel Mode - Force export to mono
Thanks.

Hi Jo,
I fixed the file names and the corrected the mp3 information. I'm working on uploading them now.
So sorry I missed all of that. I updated my computer to update to the latest audacity and then had to mess with it some more. Must have changed the settings when I did that.

Hi Jo,
I'm still having trouble with that syntax error. Error SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data
Received it on files 01, 03, 04 and 05.
I'll try again tomorrow.
Also, I'm not sure if you need me to post the file urls here since I can't edit the mw either. Just in case:
https://librivox.org/uploads/knotyouraveragejo/womenofamerica_00_larus_128kb.mp3
https://librivox.org/uploads/knotyouraveragejo/womenofamerica_02_larus_128kb.mp3
Apologies again for making this more work than should be.
