Hello everyone -- I'm back, and hopefully not with the force of a literary wrecking ball this time. :)

Cavaet: I've corrected my file names and re-uploaded files.

Audrey: The files below include several with corrections for earlier submissions as well as a few new recordings for the collection.

Headed back in to see which I've missed and, hopefully, get them submitted today...perhaps even with the correct file names this time around.

Thanks to all!

Elise

Evening all.

Elise. You do not need to resubmit tags previously submitted, since you are over writing using the same tags. Just say you fixed them, although you do need to give me the new timings.

Audrey. I believe I have fixed all of mine now, plus added in four more.

One more file -- a new one:

Cavaet -- I had so many files incorrectly labeled, I just wanted to make sure that the correct ones were noted here, but won't do the full list on future corrected files. :)

Thanks!

Audrey, Elise, and Tricia.

Couple of housekeeping notes

Elise, as discussed, I have altered your reading assignments and given you my last four short poems, and retained the two long ones for myself.

Audrey, you, may want to reflect this change on your spreadsheets.

I should be done with Gallipoli and Ragnarok, by Wednesday, so we are almost done.

Tricia. Elise and I have discovered two of the sonnets, ten and fourteen, are totally different between the two source books, so we are thinking we will add a couple of sections to accommodate them, and I'll rewrite the introduction, i hate how it reads anyway, to explain their inclusion. And if we do that, might as well include the two dropped poems as well. Thoughts?

Sounds fine to me. You can add the new sections in yourself. It's best to put them at the end (where the new sections will show up anyway) or else it will mess up all your other numbering!

OK. Then 105, mine, will be the last for the collection to record. I think I may alter the name of the two extra sonnets, to make it easier to understand than the current names. Open to suggestions on this. I have re-written the introduction, and I still don't like it. As for the cd art, planning on using the original picture that was used in the expanded version.

105 will probably be ready for PL by the weekend.

You're planning on doing the CD cover? I'll enter that pre-claim in for you so that someone else doesn't claim it after it's cataloged.

We might need to put out the bat signal for more PL help. I'm not sure if zavaa01 is still around - unless Audrey wants to do all of it? :hmm:

I actually have several pictures of Ms Cross, but figured using the one from the expanded edition would be the best idea.

As for the PL. Audrey did agree to do the lot in an earlier post, but I haven't seen her since either. I'll check her google spreadsheet see if shes making any changes there, and in a couple of days I'll send out the bat signal.

Erm, actually it occurs to me that Elise may PL mine, then I could do hers. would this be acceptable?

Then I'll wait a couple days, see if Audrey comes back, and we'll use that as a fallback

Tricia,
Below is the updated version of introduction for the first post page.

Also, Elise is currently running up the cd cover. I've seen some of whats in the works, and I bow to her superior artistic flare.

Songs of Love and Life by Zora Cross was a phenomenon in the author's native Australia in 1917. The original privately-published edition quickly sold out, and an expanded edition was produced a month later. Its erotic content, a rejection of old Victorian values, along with anti-war and feminist themes, catapulted the then 27-year-old Cross to the forefront of Australian poets. She was lauded and praised, but slowly fell into disfavor. Here we present the expanded version of her book, with the addition of four poems dropped from the privately-printed edition, which appear at the end of the recording.

I've updated the summary/intro in the database entry so it'll show the new one on the catalog page. I've also changed the cover pre-claim to EliseDee.
