Hi, Michele!

It boggles my mind thinking of who in the world first thought to try consuming dung and urine as medicinals . . . :hmm:

PL NOTES for Section 13:

This was a long section for you to read! You did an extremely nice job with it.

There are two spots where false starts didn't get edited out:

4:47 "and for the cure of"

27:56 "Remedies for affectations, no"

I'll pop back for a spot PL when you're ready. :)

Section 13 is PL OK now

(you'll need to mark it in the MW for me, and don't forget to change the time in the notes box)

I'm pretty sure I'm going to struggle to keep the length down, as this is 21 pages. What's my maximum allowed?
72 minutes. :D We have a few long sections here, but this volume is quite small (I actually have a physical copy of this book), and you do not need to read footnotes. So, I think you will be on the safe side. But please let me know!
Ah! Great. I should make it inside that.

Thank you, and welcome to Librivox!

Since this will be your first recording, we strongly recommend you try the 1-minute test, described here, before diving into the section itself: https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=1-Minute_Test

I have a question (re Section 17, but I assume it applies also to other sections):

I have a "(5.) on its own in the middle of a paragraph on p405. I don't have (1), (2.), (3.) or (4.) and anything above 5, so I don't see what it refers to. It's not a footnote, for example.

Anyway, should I read it or skip it?

Thanks.

EDIT: There's a (6.) after the subheading on p408, too.

You can just skip it. =)

Thanks!
I'm almost done editing but I've done something weird to the sound. Trying to rectify it.

I offered my mother some of the remedies for her cataracts but she said she'd wait for her hospital appointment ... Oh, well. I tried.
