I'm reading section 14 and at some point Pliny writes:
"Who, pray, could have ever made such a discovery as this? And what, too, can be the meaning of this combination? Why, of all things in the world, was the toe of a horned owl made choice of?"

I mean, I'm glad he agrees that these "discoveries" sound strange, but really? "of all the things in the world" the horned owl is what impressed him the most? :lol: :lol:
