How did it get so late so soon?
It’s night before it’s afternoon.
December is here before it’s June.
My goodness how the time has flewn.
How did it get so late so soon?

Sounds lovely! I'll finish the PL today. The volume is a bit low, however, so that can be corrected later on. The recording needs be raised at least 3dB in volume.

Whoops! I didn't do the Checker thing. I knew I forgot something I tend to be too soft in recording, except for those place where I'm too loud.KevinS wrote: ↑July 16th, 2020, 1:42 pmThank you!MaryinArkansas wrote: ↑July 16th, 2020, 1:31 pm Here is my recording. 1815 State of the Union Address by James Madison. May I claim a section to submit a second recording for this collection?
I would like to read an article entitled "The Force, Effect, and Extent of the Fifteenth Amendment", by William E Walker.
It is from the April 7, 1870 issue of New Era, a newspaper edited by Frederick Douglass.
Text here - (The article I want to read begins near the bottom of the first column.)
https://chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/lccn/sn84024437/1870-04-07/ed-1/seq-3/
It is part of the Frederick Douglass newspaper collection from the Library of Congress, which includes issues of North Star, Frederick Douglass's Paper, and New Era.
The Library of Congress site states that all the newspapers in this collection are public domain.
