Hi Dale,
Your story is starting off my Saturday. That was a brilliant point about time travel. Dorothy's house landed on the Wicked Witch, but the Tardis always finds a pretty clear spot. I suppose the time travel machines could have a landing sensor to avoid that. haha Great reading, Dale!
At the end I hear Kevin instead of Kelvin, but I don't think you need to change that.
PL OK

Hi Amy,

Thank you so much for such a detailed feedback for story listed under Section 4 of this board's Magic Window. I edited the file to remove silences, clicking noises and pauses. I edited the beginning and end. Also updated the file name and settings (amplify, constant, monon, and 128kbps).

Here is the new file:
o A City Near Centaurus
o By Bill Doede
o (revised) Audio upload: https://librivox.org/uploads/alg1001/ssf069_acitynearcentaurus_doede_zq_128kbs.mp3
o Online etext: https://archive.org/details/GalaxyPD/page/n11/mode/2up
o Duration: 28mins:31sec

Thank you. Let me know if I need to re-record for any reason :| :D
---
Technical issues:
The bitrate must be 128 kbps.
The bitrate must be Constant.
The recording must be in Mono.
The recording needs to be amplified 6 db.
Reduce the opening silence to 1 seconds.
Increase the closing silence to 5 seconds.
PL Notes:
For the opening simply name the story and author. Delete the part you have about the illustrator and about Galaxy Magazine.
Remove the loud noise at 4:09
Remove the loud noise at 9:57
Remove the gap in ‘stooped over’ at 13:11.
Remove the long silence between 18:19 and 18:23.
At the end, cut out the part about it being a Project Gutenberg ebook. Your ending should just be: "End of A City Near Centaurus, by Bill Doede."

Hi:

I thought this was interesting. But I don't know if there are enough Cal-tech and MIT students reading now to get it published today...

Oridin's Formula

I had a Theo Physics prof who would write equations on the board, and when he looked around at confused faces, he would say, "But this is so easy!"

Thanks
