The Day's Journey by Netta Syrett (1865 - 1943).

This project is complete and all audio files can be found in the catalogue: https://librivox.org/the-days-journey-by-netta-syrett/

Netta Syrett was the niece of Grant Alan and a new woman in her own right. Educated at the University of Cambridge, she tried to make a career in teaching before becoming a novelist and playwright. This novel, The Day's Journey, tells the story of an ideal marriage which turns up side down when the husband falls in love with another woman. - Summary by Stav Nisser.
    1. How to claim a part, and "how it all works" here To find a section to record, simply look at point 5. below at the sections. All the ones without names beside them are "up for grabs." Click "Post reply" at the top left of the screen and tell us which section you would like to read (include the section number from the left-most column in the reader list, please). Read points 6. to 8. below for what to do before, during and after your recording.
    2. New to recording? Please read our Newbie Guide to Recording!
    3. Is there a deadline? We ask that you submit your recorded sections within 1-2 months of placing your claim. Please note that to be fair to the readers who have completed their sections in a timely way, if you haven't submitted your recording(s) after two months, your sections will automatically be re-opened for other readers to claim, unless you post in this thread to request an extension. Extensions will be granted at the discretion of the Book Coordinator. If you cannot do your section, for whatever reason, just let me know and it'll go back to the pool. There's no shame in this; we're all volunteers and things happen. Please do not sign up for more sections than you can complete within the two month deadline.
    4. Where do I find the text? Source text (please only read from this text!): https://archive.org/details/daysjourney00syregoog
    5. Please claim sections (the numbers in the first column below)! If this is your first recording, please let me know under which name or pseudonym you'd like to appear in the LibriVox catalogue. We can also link to a personal website/blog.

Prospective Prooflisteners: Please read the Listeners Wanted FAQ before listening! Level of prooflistening requested: standard

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Let me know if and what kind of help you would like with the Magic Window.

Could I also be the DPL?

Hi, I'm new to this and looking for my first project to work on. Can I please do the first 3 chapters? They appear to be open unless I am misunderstanding. You can refer to me by the pseudo name ProfoundMenace.

Thank you and let me know if I'm not doing this right.

Hi, welcome to Librivox. I hope you will enjoy here. The first 3 chapters are all yours. However, before you proceed, please submit a one- minute sampal recording, just to make sure that your tecnical settings are all correct. Regards,
Stav.

Hi Raponzelina, I cannot update the magic windows in all of my projects. I don't know why. I checked on 2 different computers.

Hi Stav! Does this mean that you can access the Magic Window, but cannot update anything once inside? Or does it mean you can't even enter in the Magic Window area? So that we can eliminate the possibility of a password problem. Does it return any Error message?

This sounds stressful! Don't worry, your MCs and dpls will help you keep your projects updated until this is figured out. Has anything been upgraded or updated on the system and software you are using, or the screen reader, that would change the way it works in the magic window?

I don't think so. But I am not sure. How can I return this to normal?

I can't think of anything. I'll consult with other admins and maybe we'll come up with something.

I would like to claim section 6. I am a first time recorder. I have already configured audacity and will be completing a 1 minute test before beginning this project. I would like my name to listed as Chelsea Mendenhall. I am excited! Thank You
