Greetings -

Welcome to LibriVox. Hope to hear many reading efforts from you.

It was fun to listen to you read this section as I could hear you getting more and more confident as you went along. The first one always seems to be the hardest.

Here are a couple of things that need your attention:

TIME: 00:18 The name of the author is pronounced fitz-hew.

TIME: 10:44 Delete everything after "Dallas, Texas". That closing is for the final chapter of the book.

Again, welcome to the interesting group of people that make up LibriVox.

Thank you.

I believe Lomond is affected by the Oregon wildfires. I'm sure he'll check in as soon as he can.

Greetings -

Sorry for cross-posting, but...

I have joined the ranks of too many Oregonians who have had to evacuate their homes due to the many wildfires here in Oregon. Fortunately, the evacuation site is next to my church and I am putting in a number of hours each day volunteering here.

I have limited access to the internet and, so, I might need some help with my PL duties. I will do what I can, but would not take it personally if folks wanted to help out. :) :) We have been told that we could be here for up to three weeks.

For two days last week, Portland, Oregon, had the worst air quality index in the world so keep us in your thoughts and prayers. Thanks much.

Stay safe. This time last year this would have been me, too.

Section 17 has some edits needed. Please submit them by September 18 so as to avoid losing the recording :?

Some notes on Chapter 17:

One that is easy to fix:

TIME: 01:56 TEXT: "Roy Blakeley is trying to jolly me,” Pee-wee boasted." Reading has "boasted" pronounced as "boosted".

One that is curious:

The recording ends at 07:41 but there are five more paragraphs in the chapter not in the recording. Did part of the recording get accidentally edited out?
