Hi Davis! Welcome to Librivox and to the Poetry Collection

A lovely selection of poems!

I have a few notes and suggestions on the technical side of things. Do you use Audacity for recording? The bit rate should be 128 kbps, constant, so if in Audacity, when exporting to mp3, from the options choose "Bit rate mode": "constant", and "Quality": "128 kbps". Then you click Save to export the file, and it keeps the settings for future exports as well!

From your 3 poem recordings, Sorrow is a bit low in volume. You would need to amplify by about 7-8 dB. The other two are ok, albeit in the quiet end of the desired range. So volume is something to keep an eye on. The Checker is a useful tool https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Checker for measuring volume, as well as checking the tech specs.

Suggestion: You have a very low white background noise. At least with my earphones it's not obtrusive at all, but you can experiment with the Noise Reduction effect in Audacity and see if it makes any difference. To recap, for these three recordings, please amplify by let's say 8dB the poem "Sorrow", and re-export all three poems to mp3 with a "constant" bit rate of "128 kbps". Optionally try the Noise Reduction feature (maybe on the amplified recording, if the background noise gets more prominent). Then re-upload with the same file-names and post to check again! Thanks!

I see that you are addressing the tech specs in your test recording, so I won't get into any details, except if you need more guidance of course.
The changes that are required for this recording are: some amplification, about 6dB, then to export to mp3, with a constant bit-rate of 128 kbps, and add the suffix _128kb in the file name when exporting. Do you use Audacity? Let me know, I could give you a step-by-step guide if needed. Otherwise, when ready, reupload and we'll check again

One suggestion to consider for your next recordings. It's customary to use your catalogue name (in your case set as "Swimming Sage") in the "recorded/read by" phrase, but obviously your choice! The reasoning is that a listener may want to look you up by the name they hear, so they would search for your catalogue name. Anyway, you can change the catalogue name any time, by letting the project admin/MC know.
